چکیده
Due to its desirable mechanical properties, compacted graphite iron (CGI) has been used replace conventional gray cast (CI) in various applications, such as automotive engine blocks and cylinder heads. However, the poor machinability of CGI can lead excessive tool wear consequently high manufacturing costs. Various strategies have developed improve CGI, including optimizing machining parameters development novel metalworking fluids. In this study, was conducted using cubic boron nitride (cBN) tools under different cutting speeds, with both soluble full-synthetic water-based fluids at levels sulfur addition water dilution. The effects on behavior were examined. Results showed that 200 m/min speed, fluid 4% dilution 0.3% compound exhibited best performance, a distance reaching 23.8 km. contrast, least effective 9% resulted 28.6% decrease (17.0 km) compared one. At higher speed (300 m/min), for all dropped less than 6.0 km, showing shortest 4.8

Compacted graphite iron (CGI) is considered as the potential replacement of flake graphite iron (FGI) for the manufacturing of new generation high power diesel engines. Use of CGI, that have higher strength and stiffness as compared to FGI, allows engine to perform at higher peak pressure with higher fuel efficiency and lower emission rate. However, not only for its potential, CGI is of an area...
